The Cross of Jesus is the most recognized symbol in the world. It adorns necklaces and churches, mountain-tops and tombstones, catacombs and tattooed arms. The Cross commemorates the most magnificent act of love ever undertaken and the hope of Christians worldwide. But the Cross is more than a religious picture; it is also a renewing path. As the Apostle Peter once declared: “To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps” (1 Peter 2:21). What does it mean to walk the way of Jesus in our time? How is it different from the way Christianity is sometimes conceived? And what difference might it make to our families, workplaces, communities, and soul, if we could really follow that path? |
